Reader's Gardens Elizabeth's Garden
Dublin, Ireland - Page 2 of 3
July 1998
Well a month or so has made a big difference. I have labelled three of the geraniums and there are many more not in this view.
I will now tell you what is in bloom around the rest of the garden.
But first you just have to see my Texas Bluebonnets! I worked hard to raise these beauties to this point and so most show them off!
So now on with the tour;on the west facing side the faithful Freemontodendron is still in bloom having started in May. Clematis "Comtesse de Bouchard" is a long lasting climber with pale mauve flowers. Rose "Leaping Salmon" is on it's second blooming.Clematis "Tanguitica" has a mixture of small yellow bell-like flowers and seed heads that are just as pretty. It is a vigorous grower .Get it!! Anemone "Prinz Heindrich" has started flowering.I need to decide about this as I am not too keen on the flower shape. Shasta daisies, Lavatera " Silver cup" , and Penstemon Garnet and " Sour grapes" provide more colour.
