Elizabeth's Garden

Dublin, Ireland - Page 1 of 3

I will start by introducing myself. My name is Elizabeth Law and I live in Dublin, Ireland. I have always been interested in gardening but since my retirement I have come to love nearly all aspects of gardening , grass cutting and slug slaughter excluded!!

Now I will describe part of my garden. This picture was taken in July 1998.

To the left is the yellow Lyshimachia, below these are yellow lilies. To the front of the border on the right are two varieties of hardy geranium and further to the right an Alstromeria.

Below you see an area I had to " reclaim" as I was running out of space for my geraniums. This photgraph was taken in June 1998.

This area had been a gravel bed in the centre of which was an old ivy covered chimney stack which has now been moved to the patio. The bed is now planted with many new hardy geraniums plus white /cream/yellow flowers and foliage to blend with the mauves, blues and pinks of the geraniums. I regret having had to make the change but it was that or no more new plants. The new bed is looking good already and when there is more growth will be very pretty , I hope!
