The hot pink, butterfly-like flowers of this radiant perennial will provide you with a lengthy display throughout the warmer months. An adaptable and hardy evergreen that is easy to grow and requires little maintenance. It tolerates a variety of soil types from sandy to clay based although it performs best in well drained, moist soil. Tolerates very hot, dry conditions although it is recommended that you mulch around the plant to retain moisture and keep weeds at bay.
Uses: Ideal for the informal cottage style garden where spectacular effects can be created using small drifts of two to three plants. Use to line paths or driveways. Grow in decorative tubs for the entertainment area or patio.
Cultural Notes: Easy to prune - shear back to half plants current size in early spring. An application of slow release at this time would also be beneficial.
