Pineapple Medicine
Your pineapple might get sick along the way. Sometimes they'll get bugs or scales on the leaves. It's a good idea to wipe down the leaves with soapy (not too harsh) water, and rinse the soap off (not into the soil!). Your nurseryman can help you choose an appropriate insecticide (remember to look after Mother Earth).
Another problem is "Heart Rot", where the central leaves will turn black, and come off easily. Caught early, a fungicide can save it. Again, get quality advice form your nurseryman.
