The Hobby Greenhouse Association - USA
'About Us' The Hobby Greenhouse Association is a nation-wide non-profit organization of people who enjoy growing ornamental and edible plants year-round through the use of various structures designed to provide the necessary or optimal environmental conditions for successful plant growth. We refer to them as Hobby Greenhouses. Whether from commercially manufactured sources, or self designed and constructed, Hobby Greenhouses provide year-round enjoyment for those who love growing a wide variety of plants. This requires knowledge and skills regarding their design, construction, operations, maintenance, and use. The Hobby Greenhouse Association has been a source for sharing knowledge and experiences among fellow greenhousing enthusiasts since 1976. We are not large, (1,800 members in the U.S. and 50 from other nations), and are self sustaining from memberships alone, but offer many opportunities and programs to benefit the Hobby Greenhouse owner or prospective owner. We also have many members who prefer to grow in sun rooms, window areas, and under lights instead of a hobby greenhouse.
